Dong Hoi, Quang Binh – From July 30 to 31, 2026, the Center for Ethnic and Mountainous Area Resource Governance Research (CEGORN), in collaboration with the Quang Tri Farmers Union, organized a training course on the “establishment, management, and operation of web portals” for local cooperatives, enterprises, and collaborative groups across Quang Tri province.
The program was conducted as part of the activity “Improving the Resilience of Vulnerable Smallholder Agriculture to Climate Change-Related impacts through Gender-Responsive Nature-Based Solutions for Adaptation (NbSA) in Ha Tinh and Quang Trị Provinces” under the “Support to Viet Nam for the Implementation of the Paris Agreement II” (VN-SIPA II) project, funded by the government of the federal republic of Germany through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

The training course attracted 16 participants from 8 organizations, with female participation reaching 69% and 76% of the trainees aged 40 and above. This demonstrates their remarkable determination to overcome challenges in proactively adopting digital tools, while aligning with the NbS-A project’s mandate to promote women’s empowerment.

Moving forward, CEGORN and its partner organizations will transition from the model of “training for portal creation” to “training – operational support – promotion – market linkage”. This shift aims to ensure the continuous maintenance of these portals, turning them into powerful tools that serve production, business, and sustainable livelihood development for local entities.
