Tuyen Phu, Quang Tri – On the afternoon of July 31, 2026, the Center for Highland Natural Resource Governance Research (CEGORN), in collaboration with the Tuyen Phu Commune People’s Committee, organized a ceremony to hand over patrol equipment to the Voluntary Hatinh Langur Conservation Team at the commune headquarters.
The event took place within the framework of the project “Enhancing Biodiversity Conservation and Promoting the Establishment of Khe Net Nature Reserve in Quang Tri Province,” funded by the Vietnam Wildlife Conservation Fund (WCF).

To directly enhance field monitoring capacity and support team members during demanding forest patrols across rugged terrains, the project officially presented a set of specialized equipment, including:
– 15 backpacks to accompany members on every forest protection patrol route;
15 pairs of specialized forest trekking footwear ensuring firm footing on challenging terrains;
– 15 uniform caps providing protection throughout their journeys;
– 06 smartphones dedicated to field data collection, recording, and synchronization;
– 02 camera traps to monitor and record the presence of rare and endangered wildlife species.

This timely support not only equips local voluntary forest guardians with modern technology but also provides great encouragement, empowering the local community to take a more proactive and active role in preserving regional biodiversity.
