Quang Tri – On the morning of August 7, a coordination meeting was held at the CEGORN Center office to discuss and finalize field survey operations in the Khe Net area. This meeting serves as a crucial foundation to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the upcoming field survey expedition.
Leaders, experts, and officials engaging in discussions during the meeting
The meeting gathered representatives, officials, and specialists from key partner organizations: Tuyen Hoa Protection Forest Management Board (03 representatives); Tuyen Hoa Forest Ranger District (03 representatives); Vietnam National University of Forestry (05 experts); CEGORN Center (04 representatives).
During the meeting, stakeholders discussed and reached consensus on key technical details for the upcoming field mission. Notably, the project map covering four target communes was presented, clarifying primary, secondary, and priority survey routes in the Khe Net area. Among these, two primary survey routes were designated, encompassing:
– Compartments 2, 7, and 8
– Compartment 41 through Compartment 36
– Compartment 12
– Compartments 40a and 40b

Consensus on Field Logistics and Team Structure The field survey unit will consist of:
- 04 experts
- 02 forest rangers
- 02 officers from the Tuyen Hoa Protection Forest Management Board
- 08 local community guides/support staff
- To optimize human resources, manage forest camping and lodging, and maintain a survey schedule suited to actual field conditions, the team will be divided into two field groups: the East Team and the West Team.
