Ha Tinh – On August 22, the CEGORN Center, in collaboration with the Farmers’ Union of Kim Dien Commune (Quang Tri Province), organized a study tour titled “Field Visit to Agricultural Models Applying Nature-Based Adaptation Solutions in Ha Tinh Province.” The delegation comprised 28 representatives, including officials from the Kim Dien Commune Farmers’ Union, participating project households, and CEGORN Center staff.

The field trip was conducted within the framework of the project “Enhancing the Resilience of Vulnerable Smallholder Agricultural Producers to Climate Change Impacts Through Gender-Responsive Nature-Based Adaptation (NbSA) Solutions in Ha Tinh and Quang Tri.” This initiative is part of the Support to Viet Nam for the Implementation of the Paris Agreement – Phase II (VN-SIPA II) project.

At the visiting sites, delegates gained direct insights into the practical operational, management, and maintenance aspects of these models. They engaged in candid discussions with local farmers regarding implementation experiences, economic efficiency, as well as the challenges and advantages encountered during execution.

These practical insights provided invaluable, real-world lessons, equipping participating households with actionable knowledge and motivation to adopt suitable solutions tailored to their own farming conditions.

The visit aimed to create direct peer-to-peer learning opportunities for farmers to observe, exchange, and absorb proven practices. This, in turn, enhances local awareness, facilitates effective knowledge transfer, and encourages the adoption and scaling up of suitable NbSA solutions in their home communities.
Grounded in the spirit of “Farmers Learning from Farmers,” the initiative not only diffuses effective practices but also strengthens networking and knowledge-sharing. Ultimately, it drives the replication of nature-based agricultural adaptation solutions, paving the way toward sustainable livelihoods and heightened climate resilience.
